Robinson Hall for the Performing Arts, UNC Charlotte Dance
UNC Charlotte Dance offers its fifth Summer Intensive focusing on the diversity of styles within the diasporic community. It is recognized for its outreach, artistic and instructional quality, and rigor. At UNCC, dancers are encouraged to refine their strength in technique as well as explore new styles. Offerings cover conditioning (yoga, pilates etc.), technique (odissi, kathak, bharatnatyam, hindustani music etc.), dance history, and dance appreciation courses. In addition, students will view performances by emerging creatives and professionals. There will be assessment activities and an informal showing at the end of the institute.
